Forrest is intelligent and logical, a fast learner and fantastic problem solver. He trained in network administration in vocational school, but despite his training and abilities, Forrest struggled to obtain employment and keep a job. Forrest is one of the 1-in-68 people on the autism spectrum. Like many people on the autism spectrum, he tried to self-medicate to deal with his stress and social anxiety. He found himself in a spiral of addiction, homelessness and poverty.
Fortunately, Forrest had the insight to recognize that he was on a self-destructive path. "I have made my life one long effort to understand myself. I want to reach my own personal perfection," he says. He moved to Fargo, where he applied to Mind Shift. Now, after completing Mind Shift training, Forrest is a proud part of the IT team at Eide Bailly. His talents for pattern recognition, attention to detail, and drive for excellence allow him to thrive there, and he loves the workplace environment.
